The founders of The Living Benefits Group developed their skills in the individual Disability Insurance market putting them in a position of knowledge and leadership unsurpassed in this very specialized field.
With over 60 years of combined experience in the field of Living Benefits, our organization is well positioned to provide solutions to individuals and corporations in this rapidly growing and changing field.
Utilizing insured and non-insured products, our organization creates customized solutions to satisfy our client's unique needs. We at The Living Benefits Group, proudly work with our network of specialists, to manufacturer unique programs that are incorporated into innovative plans which allow our clients to manage their financial risks to the best results possible.
J.M (Jim) Corrigan, BA, CHS, CLU
Corrigan Insurance & Benefits Planning Inc.
Jim began his career as an agent for the Paul Revere Life Insurance Company in 1984, specializing in disability income products and life insurance. He achieved his RHU designation in 1989 and his CLU designation in 2003. In 1990, Jim incorporated Corrigan Insurance & Benefits Planning Inc. to better serve both new and existing clients with services that include Employee Benefits and Pension programs, International Benefits (for Canadian Corporations operating internationally), Succession Planning, Executive Compensation and Estate and Financial Planning. He has also authored numerous articles in the “Canadian HR Reporter” and “Benefits Canada” on such topics as Disability Insurance, International Benefits and Disability Management. In 2001, ‘The Living Benefits Group’ evolved allowing Jim and his associates to merge their years of experience and product knowledge into the market place to promote a unique and integrated approach to Disability Management.
Jim is a long-standing member of the Toronto Chapter of Advocis, the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriters (CALU), National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and the Toronto Board of Trade. His steady involvement in his community has included the following:

Jim is married to Ann and together they have two children.
Administrative Coordinator, The Living Benefits Group
Laurie was born and raised in Montreal where she started a career in Fashion Merchandising and Design. After working for several years in this field she followed her parents and moved to Victoria where she embarked on another career…initially out of shear desperation for a job… in the insurance industry! Here is where she found her passion and more important, found her calling in Business Administration. She began her insurance career as a New Business clerk in the branch office of one of Canada’s major Life insurance companies and was quickly promoted to Branch Administrator. In 1986 she moved to Vancouver and soon became Director of Administration for a prominent and successful Managing General Agency. Personal circumstance brought her to Toronto in 2003 where she currently resides. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys doing volunteer work with a local Charity and spending as much time as she can with family and friends. She continues in her career as an Administrative Coordinator, and has been very fortunate and happy to be working alongside Jim Corrigan at The Living Benefits Group since 2006.
